The Tonsured Sky

January 4, 2019Roger BusséllClouds, nature, sky

The tonsured sky let the sun, by breaks,
light up the earth, and then the birds
broke the blue with blackened beak;
Their wings pointed the sky, then blurred.

I’ll bring
eyes,
hands,
lungs
to sing the skies.
